Names: Clarence and Miriam Seifrit
Residents Since: 2003
Their Story: Clarence and Miriam Seifrit have lived at StoneRidge since July of 2003. They were ready for a change and upon touring StoneRidge they knew they wanted to live here. In a matter of months they were enjoying their new apartment and lifestyle. Everyone at StoneRidge knows Clarence and Miriam. Miriam's genuine concern for her fellow residents is always apparent. She's genuinely full of encouragement and seeks to uplift team members and residents alike. Clarence's quick wit and ability to crack a joke on nearly every subject under the sun constantly endear him to everyone.
The Seifrits are so enthusiastic to spread the word about life at StoneRidge, we've featured them in a number of advertising campaigns. They're known from Birdsboro to Cleona and everywhere in between!
The couple is always on the go... They are both members of the StoneRidge Voices of Praise Choir and assist the marketing department by frequently giving tours to prospective residents. No tour is complete without stopping by the Seifrits' apartment! Miriam is the former president of the Resident Association and is still a member of the Library Committee. She also helps out at the main receptionist desk over the lunch hour. Clarence loves to golf and does so an average of twice a week. He spends considerable time in the woodshop, and has also been known to dust off his trombone and make some noise now-and-then.

Names: Charles and Etta Barner
Residents Since: 2003
Their Story: Charles and Etta Barner have lived at StoneRidge since January of 2003. They reside in a cozy Cottage, filled with beautiful keepsakes from their life together. A visit to their delightful sun porch reveals treasures from all over the world. They welcome callers with open arms and gracious hospitality. Their laughter and smiles are infectious, and are never too busy for those who need a word of advice or someone to listen.
Charles retired from ministry after 35 years which included pastoring the EC Church in Palmyra, PA from 1984-1990. Etta has enjoyed many years of missionary work. They still enjoy organizing and participating in short-term missions trips with World Christian Endeavor, where recent trips have taken them to Kenya and Budapest. Their boundless enthusiasm and dedication to spreading the Gospel is an example to the young folks they work beside on the mission field.
When it was time for the couple to downsize their home, they knew StoneRidge was the place for them. "We were immediately attracted to StoneRidge, it has such a warm atmosphere."
The Barners are involved in a variety of activities at the Village. Charles is the president of the StoneRidge Resident Association, and the key liaison between the residents and Village management. He likes gardening and exercising. Etta can frequently be found in the Craft Room working on puzzles with other residents while Charles concludes his exercise regimen downstairs. She also enjoys hosting dinner parties and entertaining.

Names: Donald and Patricia Schwenk
Residents Since: 2004
Their Story: Donald and Pat Schwenk have lived at StoneRidge since July of 2004. Their apartment is on the ground floor of the building, which includes a close-up view of all of nature's happenings. Everyday they receive a visit from their "adopted squirrel" that nibbles on the food inside their bird feeder.
The Schwenks are members of the EC Church and have volunteered at the Village for many years. They cheerfully lend a hand wherever needed and have played the roles of Santa and Mrs. Claus for the skilled nursing unit Christmas parties. Donald has donned his Easter Bunny suit many years for the team member and resident annual egg hunt. Even in the hottest of weather, you'll never hear him complain about being covered in white fur and having children climbing on his lap posing for pictures! They also assist in giving tours to prospective residents.
As residents they also participate in a variety of activities. Donald is a Bingo Caller for weekly independent living bingo games and Patricia works in the resident Gift Ghop. They both sing in the StoneRidge Voices of Praise Choir and also make sure that the various resident collections on display in the showcase in the main lobby are rotated on a regular basis. Together they have a real heart for making StoneRidge warm and enjoyable for their fellow residents.
